About Trivial
Trivial is the dedicated preparation platform for the Engineering and Science Admissions Test — built for the people sitting it, by people who've sat exams like it.
The ESAT decides who gets an interview at Cambridge and Imperial for some of the most competitive courses in the country — and yet most applicants prepare with a scatter of PDFs, forum threads and generic question banks that were never written for this exam.
We thought that was a strange gap. So we built the platform we wish we'd had: original questions written against the official ESAT specification with full worked solutions, study notes for every module, untimed practice to learn with, and a mock emulator that looks and behaves like the real test. Then we wired it all to analytics, so every question you attempt tells you something useful about what to do next.
The name is the goal. An exam feels impossible right up until it feels obvious — and the distance between those two points is just good preparation. Our job is to make that distance as short as we can.
Not a generic question bank with an ESAT label bolted on. Every paper, question and note is written specifically for the ESAT and the way it's actually assessed.
Our mock emulator mirrors the live ESAT interface — timed sections, the flag, the navigator — so test day feels like something you've already done a dozen times.
Everything you do feeds your analytics: accuracy by topic, pace against the exam's target, and the weak spots worth your next hour. Revision with a direction.
Study notes for every module and a full diagnostic mock with worked solutions shouldn't sit behind a paywall. The essentials are free, so where you sit shouldn't decide how well you can prepare.
